    This is a lovely looking book with big photos and simply laid out pages. There are recipes from restaurants all over Liverpool and the Wirral, even has the Ximxim recipe which we've eaten before in Las Iguanas! Recipes are very simple and there's a good range of stuff that I haven't seen in other cookbooks. Brilliant gift for anyone who lives in Liverpool wanting to cook some local food with local ingredients and has got some nice interviews in too. Recipes don't seem so daunting and the photos really make you want to give it all a go.A must buy for anyone living in the North West who likes cooking.

    As an exiled Scouser, I was so excited to receive this book as a gift. Not only was it interesting in terms of the variety of cuisines available on Merseyside now, and informative as to the range of new restaurants that have opened, but the recipes are amazing too.Here's the "but"...Some of the recipes seem to be here to whet your appetite rather than follow - rather than just saying "add some vegetable stock" for example, I'd rather it told me exactly how much stock to add!Other than that, a lovely book which would be appreciated by anyone from Liverpool.

    I visited Liverpool this year and I saw how the city is much more than the city of the Beatles. It is a very cosmopolitan city and I realize that when we wander through their neighborhoods. The result could only give a graceful kitchen. So I wanted to get this book for me not forget the flavors of the places I passed, and I did not regret!
