My first Peter Lovesey. A very good read that can keep you guessing.Good characterisation and a decent plot. Good value to get the two in one as I definitely wanted more when I'd finished the first.Certainly worth reading.

anyone who enjoys murder mystery plots will love these books by Peter Lovesey,I have got quite fond of Det;Diamond and love to read about his life away from the station

  • By Mr. A. Healy on 29 September 2011

I am not a whodunnit fan, but, this book is well written and has a good, twisty plot(s). The detective is new to me but is an old schooldetective.

  • By Ian Harrison on 29 August 2007

This was my first Peter Lovesey and I thoroughly enjoyed both stories. There was a bit of Frost and Morse about the detective's style but the stories were all the better for it.
