I hope you enjoy my books, the characters, the storylines, the run-and-gun and courtroom challenges, as much as I have enjoyed writing them. Nothing in these books should ever be considered to be true. But judges and lawyers remark over and over how accurate these cases and trials always are.

This is a really fast moving story - a real page turner - It starts off in court (rather than the normal gradual lead up to the trial as the finale), but the trial is only the start of the story, and once the outcome has been determined there is a lot further to go. With this new book, John Ellsworth has invented a new central character a brilliant lawyer but with human flaws, and there are many more interesting characters to discover (ex wife, brother, investigator, etc.), so this book is never dull. The plot moves at such a pace that it is difficult to keep up. Read it and enjoy!

Legal thrillers are my favourite genre and this is my fifth Michael Gresham story and in my opinion the best. Elksworth has developed his characters well and most are believable with a few exceptions. Gresham is successful in overturning a decision where a young black guy was imprisoned for killing the wife of the judge who sent him down. A decision Gresham regrets.A fair amount of legal procedures and law gives the book depth, but I think a bit more would be even better. Philip Lowrey

I really enjoyed reading this novel. As soon as I read each section, another sequence opened, keeping me enthralled throughout. I should of read this Michael Gresham book I stead of the one I read previously. Shall look forward to other in the series.

A lot of disconnects between different threads in the story leave the reader frustrated at times.

I was really looking forward to reading this book as it is a new author for me. The pages do not follow the story line and the story line ends on one page and does not continue on the other. This goes on for the first 90 pages or so and I gave up trying to follow the story. Very disappointed in the book.
